Every year I take some time off during the winter to focus on my family, my climbing, and all of those other little things I never quite seem to have enough time for during the rest of the year. I think the best part of easing off of photography for just a bit helps me reset and reminds me just how much I actually love it.
But I’m back! And my year is quickly filling up with big adventures, new locations, and perhaps a little nudge of diving deeper into myself to create the art I dream of.
My first session back for 2023 was this beautiful outdoor maternity session at Fox Run Regional Park in the northern part of Colorado Springs. I love shooting at this location during the winter months because the sun is low and casts the most beautiful golden glow through the trees. It’s always tricky around this time of year because you’re working with patches of snow and ice… and mud! Lots of mud. So, this is my go to spot when it’s slippery and sloppy everywhere else.
Having my first session of the year has gotten me excited for all of the amazing photo sessions I have ahead! If you’re interested in getting on the calendar – just get in touch! My spring is nearly booked and my summer is filling fast. It’s on, folks!
